QUESTIONING AIDS IN SOUTH AFRICA
ROBIN SCOVILL 2000 VIDEO - 55 MIN
THE OTHER SIDE OF AIDS
ROBIN SCOVILL 2001 VIDEO - preview aidsfilms.com
Set against the 13th International AIDS Conference in Durban, South Africa, Questioning AIDS in South Africa is a feature film documenting the controversy and complexity surrounding President Thabo Mbeki's recent positions on AIDS and proposed solutions to the epidemic in his country. This film is a brilliant reality check at ground zero of the "epicenter of the AIDS epidemic". The Other Side of AIDS, a feature-length documentary film, explors the rapidly growing AIDS dissident movement and some of the individuals at the forefront of that grass roots groundswell. The film gives voice to HIV positives who are making uncommon choices in regards to their diagnoses, and also offers a grim testament to the impact that prevailing wisdom is having on human lives and families.

CENSORED TV NEWS ITEM
U.K.'s Channel 4 News commissioned a 1998 World AIDS Day News Report from Meditel on HIV testing and the leading
scientists who for the first time presented comprehensive data on profound inaccuracies underlying HIV testing and the identification of HIV at the World AIDS Conference in Geneva in July 1998. Channel 4 News supervised 4 drafts of the script and approved a press release and broadcast date. Interviews were taped, and the news feature was edited at Channel 4 News, including an interview with a young gay man who had contradictory test results at London teaching hospitals. The news item reveals some stunning admissions by the "discoverer of HIV". On Thursday 26th November, the commissioned report was banned by Channel 4 News Editor Jim Gray.
"Of course we looked for it [HIV]... We saw some particles but
they did not have the morphology [shape] typical
of retroviruses. ... I repeat we did not purify."
~ Dr. Luc Montagnier, the "discoverer of HIV"
(see French transcript of quote from the interview, Did Luc Montagnier Discover HIV?

Deconstructing HIV and AIDS
An anthology edited by Robert Johnston
"Listen out for scientists who predicate whatever they say with warnings of
how difficult it is - implying that we should not be bothering our little heads.
Once you are alert to this you will hear it all the time. After all, if we once
supposed that science was easy, scientists would lose their priestly status;
and then where would we be? The clever ones would, of course still be clever
and properly admired; but the not-so-bright would be exposed. There are many
reasons why science, its discoveries and its applications, are inaccessible to
the public. Those who suppress it - including the scientists who fear to share
their ideas with us - must be seen as the enemy of society." ~ Colin Tudge

The "Evidence" Rebuttal
A rebuttal to the NIAID/NIH document "The Evidence That HIV Causes AIDS"
Compiled by
Robert Johnston; Co-founder of HEAL Toronto
Matthew Irwin, MD; Co-founder of HEAL Washington DC
David Crowe; President of the Alberta Reappraising AIDS Society.
The Evidence That HIV Causes AIDS*, was created by the Office of Communications and Public Liaison of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases/National Institutes of Health (NIAID/NIH): www.niaid.nih.gov/factsheets/evidhiv.htm (November 1994, updated on November 29, 2000). It is the most comprehensive document we know of to attempt to answer the many arguments that HIV does not cause AIDS. In the following rebuttal we argue that the NIAID/NIH document is seriously flawed for both failing to respect the standards of scientific discourse and failing to provide credible evidence to support its fundamental claims.

 UNCOMMON QUESTIONS:
A Feminist Exploration of AIDS
UNCOMMON QUESTIONS is a discussion paper which explores, from a feminist perspective, dominant HIV/AIDS theory ('Common Knowledge'), and reveals (through 'Uncommon Questions') alternative theories, facts and analyses on the relationship between HIV and AIDS. It reflects on the construction of knowledge about AIDS, vested interests in the AIDS 'paradigm', and challenges readers to re-think, from a human rights and social justice perspective, the nature and implications of chronic acquired immune deficiency, and whether toxic treatments are appropriate for pregnant women and children. It poses the question, "What if conventional thinking about AIDS is wrong?" UNCOMMON QUESTIONS includes an extensive Bibliography, as well as an annotated appendix on Alternative Activists, Theories and Organizations.
